The Family Re-unification & Assisted Living Program are two small scale intensive programs offered by Morning Tears.
The goal of the Assisted Living Program is to reintegrate children into society after their recovery from severe trauma and from having lived a long time within a protected environment. These children, aged between 5 - max. 21 years old, share a flat and receive guidance and supervision from two full time caregivers. With this individual attention, the children have more opportunities for personal development in an environment where they are not known for nor judged by their past
The objective of the Family Reunification Program is to unite children with their parents or with other close family members. In many instances, the mother of a child runs away following the imprisonment of her husband. Often, the remaining family has also made enemies within the local community and they have to escape. The child is then left in our care. We attempt to retrieve the mother or other close family members. We provide a safe place for them to settle-down. Morning Tears takes care of all the living costs for the children. We also provide psychological services to the children under these programs and advice the parents.
